I liked that the staff respected our privacy. I also liked the free wifi. That is almost unheard of in hotels these days lol.
I didn't like that I requested a higher floor when I setup the reservation and they attempted to put me on the first floor.
The entire experience from check-in to check-out was very friendly and professional. The rooms and lobby was spotless and that made a feeling of comfort and safety.
Staff super nice.
Noisy. Rooms dont filter out noise.
hotel over charged me $100 and they said they would put it back on my credit card and they havent. drove there and they said it would be taken off and it still hasnt been credited yet. so i paid 500 for 2 night stay.
being over charged
The disk clerk made me feel like an idiot, when I ask where my room was. She ask if I could read. I had never been there before and wanted room location.
The indoor/outdoor pool areas were very nice. The hotel and common areas were very nice and clean. The hotel rooms were pretty clean. The breakfast buffet was OK, it needed more options though.
The mini golf area was in very poor shape and staff apologized for the poor condition as well. The front desk did not have more than a few golf balls to hand out. My grandsons were told they had to dig the balls out of the last hole in order to play. No microwave or fridge in rooms. No hot tub. No extra blanket or pillow in room. On day of check out, we were rudely awakend at 8:20AM by housekeeping. It was my understanding we had until 11 to be out. There was absolutely no need to have our family woke up that early.
The location was good, next door toDerby Dinner Playhouse and the water park.
Rooms too small. Bathrooms too small. No ventilation in bathroom. The ducks and geese were nice, but there was old and fresh poop everywhere. Water park was closed.Furnishing in the room were so old that they were sticky to the touch. Our feet were black from walking on the carpet. Very overpriced and not up to standards you would expect for a Clarion hotel. Not very accessible for seniors or handicap people. Disappointed!
Things around the location was great. Enjoyed the water park and the 2 pools. Not far from the riverfront.
the pool area
how my bathroom was not fully clean and room to small.
The room was clean, bed was comfortable. I requested an adjoining room and that is what I received. Pool was clean both indoor and outdoor.
Elavators were very slow. Maids & maintenance and other staff seemed to be a little overly chatty. Maintenance man showed us video and pictures of issues with hotel which I felt was not necessary. I found a bat on our floor and was terrified so I called front desk. Almost an hour later I checked the hallway and the bat was still there and RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY DOOR! I slammed door closed and was very frightened! A few minutes later a staff member knocked on our door. He asked if we were related to another room down the hall. I said no but there's a bat in the hallway and I have called about it but no one has come up yet. He asked for a towel and 2 of my children watched to see what he was going to do with the bat. He covered the bat and proceeded to stomp on it as the bat let out a squeal and killed it. I was horrified to have witnessed this as were my children. I shut the door only to have the staff member knock again. He proceeded to tell me that the bat was is in the mortuary and he needed the people down the hall because he had a cot for them and he doesn't have a master key. I am unsure why I needed the information and why he was telling me. I left my room a little while later to get some air and he was in the hallway again and asked where I was from and asked for the exact city. At this point I was waiting for the elevator and since he would be going down in the same elevator, I chose the stairs. In this stairway were several maids on every other step sitting there on their phones. It was all in all a very very odd experience. I think the hotel needs to have a talk with their staff about not bothering the guests. The staff member also told me that they have bats in their hotel all the time. Not something I really feel very comfortable with, especially after seeing video and pictures of what the maintenance man had to show us. Very very odd.
The view of the pond is beautiful at night
The elevator didn't work at all
The view of the lake. The staff was really friendly and so were the ducks
The bed was uncomfortable
