This is a very clean older facility. We slept very well on the firm mattress of our King bed. The indoor pool area looked very nice. We saw several families enjoying it. We enjoyed the view of the lake in the dining area. This will be a hopping place as things open up more.
As all places do right now, this facility has a staff shortage. The available staff did their level best to serve us.
super good place, very large rooms, absolutely great location. i could use climate control, a writing desk, an iron and ironing board in the room.
It was certainly a good 2-night stay. Thanks to clerk. Placed within 55 minutes' car ride to Seymour. Plus, we were 5 mins by foot from atlantis water park...
beautiful overall complex, pool and outdoor area relaxing
restaurant not so great
room was clean and we had a refrigerator. you could also wash/dry your laundry for free - as long as you had detergent. bed was comfortable and proximity to louisville / downtown was perfect. we paid a very good price! absolutely ok for one night.
at first sight everything was clean and ok, in the bathroom the drain at the sink was leaking and there was no exhaust air. in general everything was a bit outdated. reception and lobby were promising, unfortunately the corridors and rooms did not look so nice and new. not a very nice hotel, ok.
Old furniture, strange smells, curtains for half of the window, air conditioning works noisy, no noise insulation (you can hear the water washed away in the toilet neighbors). Breakfast is a shock at all.
hotel is located 5 minutes from downtown Louisville, Kentucky. To get to Louisville you can take a free bridge or a toll bridge, it's up to you! reception is fast, by wasting time at the reception desk the staff is qualified, map is given to you to get to your room. hotel is very large, some people have to walk through the corridors before arriving at their room, beds are comfortable and room is clean and spacious. There is an indoor swimming pool, I didn't have time to test it. On the other hand in the morning I took the breakfast option at ten dollars without taxes, frankly the breakfast is very varied of the hot, cold, there is for all the tastes and moreover the service is made in real crockery (not plastic!!!! carpark of the hotel is immense.
The only downside to breakfast: Grilled pork belly is much too salty and beef is too peppery. A car is absolutely necessary to get around to eat or to go shopping. The intermediate glass doors in the corridors of the rooms are difficult to manipulate when you move around with your suitcases.
The breakfast wasn't included
The treatment of the staff Front the desk
The whole place the value for money. Is excellent the best of all my trip
Review of Booked.net and the Radisson Hotel
In general: Just know this was my first time staying at a Raddison hotel and booking through Booked.net. Booked.net had incorrect information so be very careful and call the hotel and confirm BEFORE booking. I had booked a 2 king room through booked.net. I arrived to find out that the hotel does not have two king bed rooms. Only 2 full beds or 1king. HUGE difference in what I had booked. It also said they had an indoor jacuzzi and sauna. Also incorrect. Let’s just say that my 2 night stay didn’t start out on a good note. The best thing about the hotel is the pool. However it closes at 9 no matter if the pool is full of kids having a great time. They kick everyone out at 10 til 10. Which I didn’t understand, as they are not paying a lifeguard. The manager was more worried about getting everyone out of the pool than he was the kids running soak and wet in the exercise room on their equipment, which you could see from the pool area. The outdated rooms get a D-. The guest services staff get a B and I do not recommend booking through a 3rd party. Because if you do, the hotel isn’t responsible for the incorrect information and missrepresentations. Location and surroundings: The location was a great location. It’s located right off of I65. The outside surroundings are dark. It took us a minute to figure the place out when we arrived, as it’s not very welcoming until you enter the lobby and go around the corner. Service: The front desk was helpful when I arrived as after a long drive, I needed to use the restroom and they encouraged me to go as soon as I gave them my name. When I came back, everything was ready to go. However they were not helpful with assisting with my booked.net errors. They mentioned that it’s a common issue with third party booking. Dining: They had a variety of restaurants with a variety of foods. They also have a bar. The lady at the bar was really nice and helpful about the area and things to do locally. Sports and leisure: They have a pool. It’s huge and heated perfectly like warm bath water. However it does close at 10 no matter what. There is no lifeguard on duty so I am not sure why they force everyone to leave as long as they are making good choices. You have to bring your own towels from your room BUT they barely give you enough for your showers. I still don’t understand why they kick everyone out when they don’t have to do towels or have any one on duty that they are paying. Room: The rooms are very dated. Ceilings and fixture uneven. The rooms have an 1980’s feel. They also smell dusty and old. The bathrooms are so out dated that they do not have fans so everything is soaked by the time you get out of the shower. There are no safes in the rooms. The curtains are so dated that when I tried to close it, it came apart on the rod. The beds were not to uncomfortable. They were okay. They give you limited towels. There is no information in the room about the hotel or area, which I found odd. The view from the room wasnt pretty.
We always stay in this hotel when we travel from Columbus to the Derby Dinner Theatre next door
The decor in the hotel is really excellent and the price is a real bargain for such a complete conference center The rooms we have stayed in have always been comfortable and more than adequate
On this trip our room was I109 and it looked just like other rooms we have occupied in the past, but the sheer drapes were badly torn and should have been replaced The biggest problem was that the cleaning staff have apparently never been instructed to clean underneath the built in soap dish over the bath tub and the black filth there was quite disgusting and had obviously been there for a long time I did report this to the counter staff in the lobby
I liked that the staff respected our privacy. I also liked the free wifi. That is almost unheard of in hotels these days lol.
I didn't like that I requested a higher floor when I setup the reservation and they attempted to put me on the first floor.
The entire experience from check-in to check-out was very friendly and professional. The rooms and lobby was spotless and that made a feeling of comfort and safety.
hotel over charged me $100 and they said they would put it back on my credit card and they havent. drove there and they said it would be taken off and it still hasnt been credited yet. so i paid 500 for 2 night stay.
being over charged
